OVERVIEW/TASTING NOTES | Winter rainfall was plentiful, followed by an excellent summer growing season, mild for Alentejan standards. An early harvest with a rapid end, due to the early arrival of September rains. Well ripened fruit. Fermented without stems under controlled temperature, with frequent pisage and delestage. Aged for 12 months in French (80%), American (20%) oak barrels, and then blended to give balanced varietal fruit and oak complexity. Bottled, unfined and filtered. TASTING NOTES Lifted notes of stewed forest berries, plums and sweet spice aromatics Fresh, firm palate with smooth tannins and a deep core of red fruits supported by underlying oak. Persistent finish, well balanced and complete. Appellation: Vinho Regional Alentejano |
