TASTING NOTES | Nose: Warm toffee syrup drizzled over a classic banana split, complete with vanilla ice-cream, chocolate sprinkles and a cherry on the top. Yum yum! Palate: The sweet treats from the nose calm down just a little on the palate, with a spicy flutter of cinnamon and oak balancing out the fresh fruit and butterscotch rather well. Finish: Long and equally enjoyable as the rest of this whisky. Overall: The 1983 is a top dram from Balblair. Lots and lots to love about it. |
