Longrow Red is a 13-year-old peated single malt that has spent time aging in Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon casks from Mont Gras' Intriga Estate in Alto Maipo, at the foot of the Chilean Andes. Aromas of rhubarb and custard sweets, stewed red fruits, blackberries and ginger lie over a layer of barley sugar on the nose. The palate offers notes of summer berries, red apples, smouldering peat embers and black tea, alongside tangy, savoury hints that mingle in the finish with dry driftwood, rosemary and tobacco.
