This limited edition Macallan M Decanter is the final release in the prestigious 1824 series and is understood to contain Macallan single malt whisky dating as far back as the 1940's.
Bottled in 2013 at 44.7% ABV, this is the inaugural release from the 1824 'M' decanter series, that scored a big 91 points on WhiskyFun and churned out just 1750 bottles.
The gorgeous crystal decanter is designed by Fabien Baron a well known French Director and Art Director and created by Lalique. It is believed to be one of the more difficult decanters to produce as it requires a 15 stage finishing process.
Famously, a six litre equivalent of the M Decanter sold for a world record (at the time) £380,000 at auction in 2014, briefly making it the world's most expensive whisky ever sold.
