This is a single Hogshead matured whisky from Teaninich and bottled by Morrison & Mackay Ltd as part of their Carn Mor range in October 2011. Distilled 01/12/1982 and bottled 17/10/2011.This was distilled at the Teaninich distillery on the 1st December 1982 and it was aged in hogshead number 7713 for 28 years before bottling on the 17th October 2011. A release of 225 numbered, cask strength bottles.
Each bottle is individually numbered.
Nose: Malt and oak upfront, this whisky is surprisingly youthful though, despite its 28 years! Hints of potpourri, musty orange and fresh herbs. Something vaguely menthol-like too!
Palate: Sweet and viscous, lots of cut hay, fresh fruit, malt and chamomile tea. A little peppermint, toasted barley and aniseed.
Finish: Malt, hay and fruit, a little lime zest and toffee.
