It's been almost a year since Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson filed paperwork to secure rights for a new tequila brand called "Mana." In Polynesian culture, Mana is an otherworldly essence that gives power and influence to the possessor, whether they're a person, a spirit, or well, a Rock. Unfortunately, it was later reported that the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office declined his proposal, contending that "Mana" was too similar in nature to other existing trademarks.
However, there's no stopping The People's Champ.
The Hobbs & Shaw star hopped on Instagram to share an update and let us know that yes, his tequila is still on the way—and he appears to be doing a lot of testing to make sure it's perfect.

Based on the photo, he appears to be rolling out a full lineup, including an Añejo (aged over a year, great for sipping), a Silver (a.k.a. Blanco—unaged, perfect for mixing), and a Reposado (aged at least two months in oak barrels, mix it or shoot it).
While it remains to be seen what Rocky plans on calling his tequila, it's clear that losing the rights to his preferred name hasn't dulled his 100-watt smile. Here's to mas bebidas in 2019.
